J-Mec custom fabricates all installations to meet our client’s individual needs for optimal production and safety. On average, J-Mec installs over 600 units per year utilizing our five tractor-trailers and two man installation teams. Our most common equipment installations include:
Through-The-Wall Chutes: Chutes allow end users to dispose of waste and recyclable materials without having to walk outside the building. Chutes can be used with both stationary and self contained compactors. Below are examples of both side feed and rear feed chute applications.

Dock Installations: Loading docks are the most frequently used locations for compactor installations. There are several applications that can be installed to fit your needs ranging from the most basic four sided hopper to a modular full steel enclosure mounted on the compactor. Below are examples of dock installations:

Doghouses: Doghouses are simply a secured enclosure over the charge chamber of a compactor. The security door on doghouses can be mounted on one side, both sides, and the rear of the compactor. Doors are safety interlocked so the ram stops when the door is opened. Doors can also be lockable to keep unauthorized persons from dumping into the compactor.

Hoppers: Hoppers can be used on either stationary or self contained compactors. Their primary function is for safety so users cannot reach into the charge chamber. Their other functions are adding volume to the charge chamber of the compactor and funneling material into the charge chamber.

Transfer Compactor Installations: Large, high capacity, heavy-duty compactors are ideal for industrial and commercial applications where large volumes of solid waste are generated. A conveniently located transfer facility will eliminate the need for unnecessary trips to the landfill by intermediate collection vehicles resulting in fuel, maintenance, and labor cost reductions. Packing into large compaction containers or transfer trailers may also reduce dumping fees. Transfer compactors are built tough for the high demands of transfer stations or heavy industrial applications. These compactors can be mounted on a stand to compact directly into the transfer trailer. Extended snouts can also be added to aid in clean break-a-ways.
